A spasso con Tahomà è un progetto di sostegno in favore delle persone anziane che vuole scardinare falsi stereotipi sui migranti proponendo un servizio gratuito: un accompagnamento volontario nel fare la spesa al supermercato, in cui i richiedenti asilo aiutano concretamente prima, durante e dopo gli acquisti. 

Più concretamente, Tahomà mette a disposizione un servizio gratuito in cui i richiedenti asilo ospitati nelle strutture accompagnano volontariamente le persone del luogo a fare la spesa al supermercato o al mercato. Gli operatori dell’Associazione si occupano di condurre il mezzo che trasporterà tutti a destinazione e che soprattutto riaccompagnerà a casa. I volontari vengono scelti perché padroni di un discreto italiano parlato, sensibili e soprattutto interessati a dare una mano a chi ha bisogno.

Il coinvolgimento dei richiedenti asilo non solo è volontario, ma nemmeno si limita al lavoro di portare il carrello e le buste pesanti: la loro presenza vuole essere anche una compagnia per la persona, un sostegno morale, una nuova conoscenza con cui condividere pensieri e interagire, il tutto durante una delle attività più comuni della routine: la spesa.

Sia gli operatori che i ragazzi volontari indossano una divisa ben riconoscibile, e sono muniti di badge con il nominativo. Tahomà crede fortemente nella visibilità di questo progetto, soprattutto per trasmettere fiducia e sicurezza nei confronti di chi vi prende parte.

More concretely, Tahomà provides a free service in which asylum seekers housed in the structures voluntarily accompany local people to do their shopping at the supermarket or market. The operators of the Association take care of driving the vehicle that will transport everyone to their destination and which, above all, will accompany them home. The volunteers are chosen because they have a good spoken Italian, sensitive and above all interested in lending a hand to those in need.

The involvement of asylum seekers is not only voluntary, but it is also not limited to the work of carrying the trolley and heavy bags: their presence also wants to be a company for the person, a moral support, a new knowledge with which to share thoughts and interact , all during one of the most common activities of the routine: shopping.

Both the operators and the young volunteers wear a recognizable uniform, and are provided with badges with the name. Tahomà strongly believes in the visibility of this project, above all to transmit trust and security towards those who take part in it.
